Actor Aamir Khan, at his sporting best, launched author Sanjay Sharma’s book on badminton player Pullela Gopichand at the Khar Gymkhana in Mumbai last evening. Gopichand, a Padma Shri and Arjuna awardee, established the Gopichand Badminton Academy. He is also top-ranking Indian shuttler, Saina Nehwal’s coach. Aamir indulged in a game of badminton with Saina at the launch, but not before he had warmed up with full stretches and lunges, like any professional player. No questions were entertained about his baby boy, who was born to him and wife Kiran Rao on 1 December. The couple has named their son, Azad Rao Khan, and Aamir shared this on his Facebook page on Friday. “Hey guys, most excited to share with y’all that we have finally chosen a name for our baby boy… Azad. Azad Rao Khan. I left the final choice to Kiran, and she has named him after my great grand uncle Maulana Azad, the great freedom fighter, whom the family is most proud of. Azad means free or liberated. We want to thank everyone for their warm wishes and blessings, and needless to say we are absolutely overjoyed and feel most blessed. Much love. a.” Watch Slideshow: [fpgallery id= 352]
