Singh is Bling first look: Akshay Kumar shows off biceps (again) and we aren't impressed

Image courtesy: Twitter @GrazingGoatPix[/caption] In keeping with the trend of unveiling the first look of movies on Twitter, Director Prabhudeva too revealed the first look of his next venture Singh is Bling on the micro-blogging site. Just minutes after the director and the makers tweeted out the first look, #1stLookOfSinghIsBling started trending on Twitter and it received encouraging responses with many terming the first look ‘unusual’. However, we’re trying to figure out what is unusual about a turbaned Akshay Kumar with biceps. Especially since the turban is so obviously make-shift. The movie is a sequel to the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Singh is Kinng’ and stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson of Ekk Deewana Tha fame. In the first look, the 47-year old actor is seen with his arms around 23-year old Amy Jackson. Instead of sporting his colourful turbans which were synonymous with his look in Singh is Kinng, Akshay Kumar’s look includes  a pensive stare hidden by aviators, biceps, a bandana tied as a turban, sleeveless white ganji and hideous pants (my eyes!). His arm-candy, on the hand goes the all legs way, with a casual look comprising denim cutoffs, white ganji and a denim jacket.

Apart from the actor needing an instant style makeover, this first look seems to be like another one of those senseless Bollywood movies where the actress is paraded around as a prop. The film, which was shot in Goa and also stars Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta and Yo Yo Honey Singh, is slated to release on 2 October.
