Although Salman Khan's 2017 Eid release Tubelight failed to break the box-office like most of his previous Eid releases, the actor remains determined to play off-beat characters. According to Indian Express, the actor is in talks with Kabir Khan for another project where he will play a 75-year-old.
By playing an innocent misfit with a developmental disability in Tubelight, Salman took a big risk in terms of his image. The actor is known for playing roles that put machismo on a higher pedestal than any other characteristic. However, he tried to break that mould with Tubelight.
The move might not have worked out for him the way he expected, but that is not holding him down from experimenting. As per Deccan Chronicle, a source close to the actor confirmed that there is project in the pipeline that will require Salman to age from 40 to 75. Salman and Kabir had discussed the film during the filming of Tubelight and the commitment remains.
Salman, who suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, a nerve condition, has been apprehensive about prosthetics for years, but is willing to take the plunge with Kabir's next film. The film will require him to have heavy prosthetics on his face to make him look much older than he actually is.
