Rishi Kapoor returns from hospital, to get notice for letting mosquitoes breed at home

Rishi Kapoor, who is suffering from dengue and malaria co-infection, has been discharged from the hospital where he was admitted, reported IANS. “Rishi Kapoor is absolutely fine now and he got discharged last night (Thursday night),” a source close to the family told IANS. Kapoor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital last night. A spokesperson of the hospital confirmed the news and said, “Rishi Kapoor is undergoing treatment for dengue and malaria.” According to reports, while the actor will stay under strict observations, a team from BMC’s pesticide department has already inspected his Pali Hill residence and found that it is a breeding point of aedes mosquito, which causes dengue. Although Feng Shui plants in Kapoor’s house were planted for good luck, it seems, these plants are the reasons for his illness and it is there that the dengue mosquitoes are breeding. We have been requesting people to ensure that the do’s and don’ts are followed strictly because 85% of the breeding spots are found indoors.” he added. Reportedly, BMC will send a notice to Kapoor after he recovers from his ailment and returns home. While it is Kapoor who is unwell, according to a Mumbai Mirror report, the notice of BMC will question him about, “why criminal action should not be taken against him” since it is his house where dengue mosquitoes are breeding. These mosquitoes, the BMC contended, are not only a threat to the well being of his family members, Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Singh, but also of the entire neighbourhood. BMC also started a special drive for dengue awareness today. The number of dengue cases has been on the rise for a while and therefore BMC has decided to carry out regular fumigation and will reportedly use public announcements to spread awareness. Although BMC is mostly targeting the slums, apparently, it is the homes of the middle, upper-middle and higher class societies that has 80% of the breeding points, in Mumbai.
