Raveena Tandon. Ibnlive[/caption] She was in the eye of the storm when, on Tuesday, pointed out that one of her tweets — which was five months old — was in bad taste. Even when the actress tried to defend her tweet, calling it a joke, things only got worse with more and more people slamming her and a Twitter storm ensued. Here’s what happened: On 15 February, the actress Tweeted the following:
On Tuesday, Twitter user Atiya Zaidi complained about the poor taste of the tweet.
To which the actress was quick to reply.
But the situation escalated quickly.
And soon other Twitter users joined in.
Tandon tried to explain her stance, but nothing came of it. More and more people began to criticise her.
Tandon soon lost her cool and lashed back at the user.
But things refused to settle.
And then, stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal too joined in.
There were hundred of Tweets trashing or supporting Tandon, but, as is the case with most Twitter rants, the conversation just died out. Here is what Tandon had to say after her tough day:
