Deepika Padukone, who has a cameo in the Kriti Sanon-Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer Raabta, also features in its newly released title track, where she dons a black dress and looks sultry.

In the song, Jim Sarbh's character leads Kriti Sanon through a crowd of gathered people. It looks like song follows a scene where the couple has either gotten engaged or married. While he is visibly excited, Kriti looks listless. Moreover, Sushant looks quite troubled.

'Raabta' seems to be a new take on the song of the same name sung by Arijit Singh. Singer Nikhita Gandhi's voice suits Deepika, and the lyrics by Irshad Kamil and Amitabh Bhattacharya use simple words, but the meaning is far from simplistic. They focus on the unsaid, unspoken words between two lovers. In parts, the song seems sombre and contemplative, and the chorus onward, it becomes a fast-paced dance song.We also see visuals of Jim Sarbh shooting a gun, Kriti and Sushant in a chase sequence and a fight scene.

Film director Dinesh Vijan has called Deepika Padukone his lucky mascot and asserted that she had to be part of Raabta in some way.

Produced by Maddock Films and T-Series, Raabta slated to release on 9 June, 2017. It explores the love story of two characters who must fight to be together; this film is unlikely to be a candyfloss romance.
