'Policegiri' producer misses Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai: Producer Rahul Aggarwal says he is missing actor Sanjay Dutt’s presence during the promotions of his forthcoming film Policegiri, in which the actor plays the lead role. The movie, co-produced by Rahul along with his father TP Aggarwal, will be Sanjay’s first release after his surrender in the 1993 Mumbai blast case. He surrendered May 22 and is currently in Yerawada Central Jail, Pune. “The feeling is very incomplete. Throughout the film Sanjay has been with me. Right now a piece of my heart is missing. We are incomplete. He should have been here,” Aggarwal told reporters Monday at the launch of the movie’s first look. High on action, “Policegiri”, a cop drama, is being compared to blockbusters “Singham” and “Dabangg”. Taking it as a compliment, Aggarwal said he won’t mind comparisons if his film replicates the success of these two films at the box office. Directed by K.S. Ravikumar, the film is a remake of Tamil film Saamy and stars Prachi Desai in the female lead. IANS
