While the list of bad films in 2014 seems quite long, here is a look at the films, which had some of the worst posters this year. Click here to view photos.

For some reason, the poster had sent the Bollywood news factory into a tizzy upon its release. However, one close look at it will tell you that this poster isn’t at all different from ’look-into-my-eyes’ posters that we have been seeing since last two decade. While many media reports claimed that the poster reveals explosive chemistry between the lead pair, all you get in the poster is Hrithik Roshan in a wet banyan, glaring at Katrina Kaif’s nose as if to say his cleavage is as impressive as Kaif’s. Kaif, on the other hand, has so much make-up on her eyelids – eye shadow, eyeliner, fake eyelashes – it is clearly impossible for her to lift her eyes and return Roshan’s glare.

This poster of Heropanti is extremely insightful. It tells us about what each of these actors are thinking . For example, look at Kriti Sanon, the actress seems very worried about her loose tresses, which, thanks to Tiger Shroff’s bike, is all over the place now. Shroff too is worried about his pretty locks. While it is hard to tell if Shroff is punishing the man by dragging him with his bike or having a hard time trying to lift the seemingly obese man. It seems no one is enjoying being a part of this poster much and honestly there isn’t much to enjoy while watching this poster either.

What will you call a Disney film with grown-ups behaving like teenagers – in 2014? That film was called Khoobsurat, starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan. And how will the poster of such a film look like? Duh! Since it is a Disney film, there will obviously be a Cinderalla-looking -into- the-eyes-of -prince-charming like moment. And since it is a Sonam Kapoor starrer there will also be a oh-look-i-am-so-cute poster of the actress. No surprises there. No fun either. But do take a moment to admire Fawad Khan’s natural charm. Now, please move on.

Ragini MMS 2 was a horror film. We know that the film has come and gone in theatres, and it might be a bit too late to make this fact known to you all but a clarification seems necessary, given how misleading the poster of this film seems like below. No, the film isn’t an erotica either and yes, the person on the poster is Sunny Leone. The reason why it is difficult to recognise her is because of the extreme photoshop used to make the buxom actress appear petite. The caption on the side of the poster goes “Do Mein Zyada Maza Hai” which has a nudge-nudge-wink-wink feel to it, but let us tell you again, the film is a horror movie.

If you ever had any doubts about Kareena Kapoor and Ajay Devgn’s patriotism, this poster of Singham Returns will shoo them away. Afterall, it isn’t everyday that you catch someone as fashion conscious as Kapoor wearing green glares and Devgn donning a saffron Rayband. One look at this poster will tell you that the colours used on it are those on the Indian flag. However, if you are wondering why oh, why? Those hideous glasses, our guess is, Rohit Shetty’s way of making a poster seem cool.

How do you make the poster of a film, that depicts an affair between a Punjabi boy, Krish Malhotra (Arjun Kapoor) and a Tamilian Brahmin girl, Ananya Swaminathan (Alia Bhatt)? Simple! take the physical map of India and make the two characters lie on it. While the boy will lie down on Punjab, the girl will position herself over Chennai. However, it seems whoever made this poster of 2 States have very little sense  of Indian geography. Krish here seems to be more from Jammu & Kashmir than Punjab and Ananya seems more from Sri Lanka than Chennai.
