MOM Trailer 2: Sridevi's exemplary acting piques viewers' interest in this thriller
Upcoming Sridevi thriller MOM releases its second edge-of-the-seat trailer.
Bollywood's 'Hawa Hawai' Sridevi is all set to be seen in her upcoming thriller MOM directed by Ravi Udyawar. However, the latest trailer just released — and 'Hawa Hawai' is the last thing that's on our mind.
Starring Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles, the most recent look of MOM has left us with goosebumps and at the edge of our seats.
This trailer of MOM shows a darker side of the movie than that what was showcased in the first trailer. Sridevi isn't called a powerhouse of talent without cause. Her acting chops are displayed in a couple of brilliant shots in this trailer, especially the one where she seems to be confronting the perpetrator of her daughter's crime. She seems to be at her best in the film, as a mother in distress. She appears to be fierce and gritty and will take no nonsense.
This one minute seven seconds trailer of MOM is enshrouded in mystery, with just the right portions of the film being revealed so as to generate, and subsequently maintain, the viewers' curiosity around this Sridevi starrer.
Siddiqui and Khanna are also seen making appearances in this trailer, with both the actors looking like they fit their roles perfectly. Siddiqui is almost unrecognizable in his getup for this movie. While Khanna will be seen in a thriller after years, Siddiqui seems all set to steal the show with his nuanced guest appearance. His looks have already been the talk of the town for weeks.
Sajal Ali, the actor who plays the central role of Sridevi's daughter — around whom the film revolves — also showcases her talent and seems to have delivered a convincing performance.
The film is being helmed by director Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda & Zee Studios. Musical maestro AR Rahman has been roped in to do the music direction for the film.
The film is slated to be released on 7 July.
