After UP and Maha, Mary Kom to be tax free in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Priyanka Chopra-starrer biopic ‘Mary Kom’ has been declared tax-free by the Rajasthan government. [caption id=“attachment_1698473” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Mary Kom poster. AFP[/caption] Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje took the decision to exempt entertainment tax on the motivational film so that maximum people can watch and take inspiration from the film which is based on the story of boxer Mary Kom, according to a release. In the film, released on Friday, Priyanka Chopra is playing Olympic medal-winning boxer Mary Kom, the daughter of a poor farmer who loves boxing. The film is already enjoying tax-free status in Maharastra, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Jharkhand. PTI
