Led Zeppelin fans rejoice! Band to release India recordings made during 1972 trip

Led Zeppelin fans rejoice! The band will, finally, officially release over 10 songs from their archives including those recorded during the ‘fabled trip’ to India in 1972. Here’s the version of ‘Friends’ that they recorded:

And just in case you forgot what the originals sounded like:

But its not just these two songs that you can look out for. The band will, along with the remastered editions of the last three albums they released, also release 10 unheard songs from their archive, including one of its oldest tracks, “Sugar Mama”, which was recorded during a session before their debut but never made it on to any record. “As with the previous deluxe editions, all three have been newly remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page and are accompanied by companion audio comprised of previously unreleased music related to the original release selected and compiled by Page.” The unreleased rollicking instrumental 1970 track, “St Tristan’s Sword”, in the re-issue of the band’s final three studio albums, “Presence” (1976), “In Through The Out Door” (1979) and “Coda” (1982), will also be released. Other unheard songs to be released include five mixes from the band’s 18-day sessions at Musicland Studios in Munich. with PTI inputs
