Jiah Khan suicide: One must not give up, and respect life, says SRK

Reacting to the recent suicide of actress Jiah Khan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says life should not be less important than love. Jiah, 25, was found hanging at her flat in Sagar Sangeet Building in the posh Juhu area on June 3 around midnight. She apparently left a note, which points fingers towards Aditya Pancholi’s son Suraj, who has been arrested in connection with her suicide. [caption id=“attachment_869493” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Reuters[/caption] Jiah and Suraj were in a relationship for quite some time and reportedly there were problems between the couple, which seem to have forced her to take the extreme step. “Everyone has different definition of love. Love is a universal thing. I play the role of a lover which are written by a set of people…it is their interpretation of love. But I feel we should respect life more than love,” Shah Rukh told reporters at the first look launch of Chennai Express. “There are going to be difficult times in everyone’s life but one must not give up, and respect life. Every problem will be sorted out, don’t lose hope,” he said. Jiah made her debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd alongside megastar Amitabh Bachchan. She later appeared in Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini and then in a supporting role in Akshay Kumar’s Housefull, which was her last film. IANS
