Jhumritalaiyya: This feel-good song from Jagga Jasoos explores Ranbir, Katrina's unique relationship

If there is anything that stands out in the album of Anurag Basu's upcoming action comedy adventure Jagga Jasoos so far is that the names of the songs are as quirky as the music. This was also the case with the lead actor Ranbir Kapoor's blockbuster from 2013, Ayan Mukerji's romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

While the last two songs from Jagga Jasoos, 'Ullu Ka Patha' and 'Galti Se Mistake' were as quirky as their names, the latest song 'Jhumri Talaiya' has a feel good feeling attached to it that was also experienced in the trailer of the film released months ago.

'Jhumritalaiyya' traces the hitherto unexplored part of Jagga Jasoos - softer side of the relationship between the lead actors Ranbir and Katrina Kaif. The new song shows Ranbir as a straight-faced observer and Katrina as a clumsy bespectacled soul. Their individual character traits make their relationship all the more memorable.

The successful trio of vocalist Arijit Singh, music composer Pritam and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya strike back with this song that has soul stirring music, reflective lyrics and an apt voice. In fact, the song will have you right at the start when you figure out why it is named so.

Jagga Jasoos also stars Govinda, Sayani Gupta, Saswata Chatterjee, Saurabh Shukla and Karan Wahi. It is co-produced by Ranbir's Picture Shuru Entertainment, Basu's Ishana Movies, Walt Disney Pictures and UTV Motion Pictures. It is slated to release on 14 July.
