'Jag Ghoomeya': Here is the 'Sultan' album version of Arijit Singh's scrapped song
'Jag Ghoomeya' is your token romantic song from Salman Khan's 'Sultan.
While Arijit Singh has been apologising to Salman Khan on social media, Bhai has only been tweeting and Facebook-ing links related to his movie, Sultan. The war continues.
On Tuesday morning, Yash Raj Films, and then subsequently Salman, shared the link of the song 'Jag Ghoomeya' sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. This is the song that Arijit has mentioned in his open letter to Salman, which he later deleted.
Put Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Vishal Dadlani together, and 'Jag Ghoomeya' is your token romantic song of any commercial film. It's melodious and hum-able, and no points for guessing that Rahat does a steller job.
However, since we are tuned into the Arijit-Salman controversy, we can't help but wonder how the song would have played, if Arijit had crooned the vocals.
In the film, Salman aka Sultan, sings this song for Aarfa (Anushka) and the video has visuals of the two serenading each other. Appearing for the first time romantically opposite one another, Salman and Anushka have an endearing camaraderie on screen. They both have the ability to switch from being intensely romantic to goofy in mere seconds (perhaps Anushka better than Salman).
While Salman maintains a thick moustache through the song, Anushka sports simple suits in solid colours, giving the video a feel of Haryana.
As far as the Arijit-Salman controversy is concerned, Salman made it pretty obvious that can't be bothered, by sharing the link of the song on Facebook, only mentioning Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Watch the song below:
