'It's a surprise': Ranveer Singh reveals he has something special planned for IPL opening ceremony

Actor Ranveer Singh is busy learning dance forms for his next film Befikre. “It’s a light romantic film. One can’t imagine that there is so much preparation for this light romantic film, but apparently there is,” said Ranveer Singh. “There are lot of dance forms that I am learning, like a little bit of hip hop and tango. I am trying to up my dance skills in this film. So, let’s see. I will put in the hours for rehearsals,” added Ranveer. Befikre, which is being directed by Aditya Chopra, also stars actress Vaani Kapoor. Meanwhile, Ranveer will also perform at the opening ceremony of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament. I have performed at almost all award functions this year. I love performing live. You feel energetic,” added Ranveer. Ranveer admitted that he gets nervous before a live performance. “It is nerve-wrecking as there are thousands of people shouting. I am going to do a special performance on April 8. There is a special interactive graphic technology that we will be using. I would like to keep it as a surprise,” said Ranveer. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will be visiting Mumbai next week and will be welcomed by actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. “I am not too sure about what the schedule is after April 8. I am focusing on my performance and I am concentrating on it,” said Ranveer. Meanwhile, he also clears the air on rumours of working with Rohit Shetty and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Ranveer says that his films with superstar Shahrukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty has not been finalised yet. As per rumours which are making rounds, Shah Rukh and Ranveer might be teaming up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, which will be directed by Shimit Amin. “Whatever projects I have been discussing nothing has been finalised yet! As of now I am doing Aditya Chopra’s Befikre and I am very happy that it is shaping out to be really good,” he said at the launch event of VIVO mobile. “Rohit Shetty is an awesome director. He is the king of mainstream masala films. I would love to collaborate with him. We really got along well while spending time with him. Really looking forward to working with him. As I said before nothing is formalized and finalized. If given the opportunity and everything falls into place, hopefully, I will be in Rohit Shetty’s Dhamaka very soon,” said Ranveer.
