'Heavy Bubbles is secret of my energy': Game of Thrones' Mountain in sparkling water ad

“Thor, how can I be like you, the strongest man on earth?” This apparently, is a question Hafthor Julius Bjornsson — aka Ser Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from Game of Thrones — gets asked a lot. It’s hardly surprising – the actor does stand rather tall at 6’9” and weighs in at 395 pounds. [caption id=“attachment_2707174” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Thor in the Heavy Bubbles ad. Screen grab from YouTube[/caption] And Thor is now ready to reveal the secret to his phenomenal strength: a brand of sparkling water called Heavy Bubbles. (And you thought it was the fact that he hasn’t missed a workout in six years and can deadlift more than twice his weight at 990 pounds!) In a commercial unveiled on April Fool’s Day, the actor introduces us to “Heavy Bubbles”, which he bathes in, chugs and even carries around in lieu of weights. Packaged in bottles that are shaped like dumbbells, Thor tells us that Heavy Bubbles is available in a range of quantities – 2 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg. He proceeds to enumerate the ways in which Heavy Bubbles can make us stronger — by drinking it, of course (What if you can’t carry the heavy bottles you ask? Thor’s answer to it is: “If you can’t carry it, you can’t drink it. You die.” Well that does put things in perspective!) or just by carrying the bottles home from the supermarket (But what if you have other stuff to carry? “Don’t buy other stuff,” is Thor’s pragmatic advice.) Then, he announces Heavy Bubbles’ winning tag line: “Sparkling water that makes you sweat”. If only Prince Oberyn had known. If only. Well, it’s not too late for you.
