Daniel Radcliffe's perfect response on being subject of sexual fantasies

If someone had to win an award for the best response on gender equality today, it will surely be Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter. In an interview, Daniel Radcliffe was asked if it was weird that he was becoming a ‘sex symbol’, considering most of his fans associate him with teen wizard, Harry Potter. It appears Radcliffe didn’t need any convincing to back Emma Watson’s call to ask men to help end gender inequality. Last month, Watson addressed the UN to launch her new “HeForShe” campaign, which aims to enlist the support of as many men as possible to help achieve equality between the sexes. A few months back, Radcliffe had declared himself a feminist. He also called for more roles in top positions in the entertainment industry to be made available to women. Asked by Stylist magazine whether he sought out scripts with rounded roles across the cast, he replied: “Well, on more than one film I’ve persuaded people to build up the female roles." Radcliffe had said he is ‘honoured’ to be called a sex symbol. “It’s fine if people want to make me the subject of their sexual fantasies – good luck to them, fantastic, I’m honored to be in their dreams,” Radcliffe said. “Growing up, I never thought that would be the case. So it’s very flattering and not something to object to at all,” he said.
