'Haider' wins People’s Choice Award award at Rome Film Festival

Rome: Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Haider’ - a modern-day adaptation of ‘Hamlet’ - won the People’s Choice Award in the Mondo Genere (world genre) at the ninth edition of Rome Film Festival. Made with Kashmir as its backdrop, the film was honoured at the fest, which concluded Saturday. The crime drama’s stars Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are overjoyed. So humbled, grateful & proud!,” she tweeted. ‘Haider’ hit the screens Oct 2 and got rave reviews by critics worldwide.
