Guess what's Anushka's role opposite alien Aamir Khan in PK?

Aamir Khan’s PK has so far proved that sheer ludicrosity can be a big reason for people to want to watch a film. If the poster of a naked Aamir covering his modesty with a transistor in the first PK poster was not crazy enough, the filmmakers ensured that the leading lady’s role would create such curiosity that you just have to watch the movie.

According to this video on Rediff, just as Peter Parker is secretly Spiderman, Bruce Wayne is secretly Batman, Salman Khan’s character in Kick is secretly the worst superhero ever made, Anushka Sharma’s character in PK is a journalist who is secretly (wait for it) a prostitute.

That should come as a bit of a bummer for anyone who wants to pursue a career in journalism given the impression it gives about its economic prospect, but all’s fair in love and Bollywood.

Not only that, the film doesn’t stop at just endangering the survival prospects of hundreds of media and journalism schools mushrooming in India, it probably has a deep message to convey about men who keep their bodies impeccably free of hair like Aamir in the film.

Aamir, the video says, plays an alien.

Now it all makes sense. If your guy shows inexplicable affinity for hair removal, run!

And it gets better from there. Anushka’s character is reportedly in love with Sushant Singh Rajput’s character who, by the way, is so smart that he does not know that the love of his life is a journalist by day and prostitute by night. Thereby establishing the fact that nagging, attention seeking boyfriends are actually smart creatures.

When Rajput wants to marry Anushka in the film, Anushka refuses to marry him, fearing that he will get to finally know about her secret life. She then runs away to India where she meets the very naked and very alien Aamir’s character.

Who would not want to watch a film in which a journalist masquerading as a prostitute meets an alien who likes to get naked and make fun of god and godmen? That even sounds like every beautiful idea you have gotten after smoking quality weed. Well played, Raju Hirani!

Another pertinent question is whether Anushka, as a journalist, would do stories on her alter ego, just like Peter Parker does stories on Spiderman’s adventures.

Aamir had recently commented on Rani Mukherjee’s Mardaani by saying, “There are some words in the film that I would not want my children to see. I also feel that very small children should not see this kind of violence. I don’t want an eight-year-old child to see that. That’s what I think.”

But of course, when it comes to a film showing a prostitute meeting an alien who has a serious aversion to clothes, as Aamir himself has said earlier, the aspects of the film are supposed to be silly, but ‘key art’.
