Golmaal Again first look: Ajay Devgn unveils family portrait of sorts on Rohit Shetty's birthday
Ajay Devgn described the Golmaal family as 'fun' and 'glorious'. Rohit Shetty's comedy also stars Tabu, Parineeti Chopra and Tusshar Kapoor among others.
On the occasion of filmmaker Rohit Shetty's birthday, his longtime collaborator Ajay Devgn unveiled the first look of their upcoming comedy ensemble Golmaal Again on Twitter.
Devgn posted a couple of pictures of the Golmaal family, which he described as 'fun' and 'glorious'. When Shetty announced the film, which is the fourth installment of the Golmaal franchise, it was a given that all the male actors from its prequel will reprise their roles in the next one.
The first look features all the five male actors - Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor - decked up in black. Joining them and Shetty are the two new additions to the Golmaal franchise - the female actors, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra.
Chopra was roped in to replace Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film as the latter is occupied with newfound motherhood and other commitments. Kareena was the female lead in the last two installments, only to be replaced by Chopra in Golmaal Again.
After the news broke out in November, Devgn and Shetty had welcomed her into the Golmaal family via a couple of warm tweets.
Then, Tabu also hopped on-board in January in a refreshing turn of events.
The actor, who plays an astrologer in the film, will be seen in a comical role after years. "I really don't have any preferences, biases or prejudices against any kind of cinema. I take up whatever is interesting. People will always approach you with what they think you are good at. I am glad that there are certain kind of roles people identify me with. At the same time, it's great that somebody like Rohit thought of casting me in a film like Golmaal," she had said.
With the entire cast locked in and rearing to go, the fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next installment of the rib-tickling franchise.
Birthdays should be mad fun and glorious...a lot like our Golmaal family. Happy Birthday Rohit! pic.twitter.com/ZmXH5mR3Cx
