Are you confused? In case you're wondering what prompted this almost insane imaginary scenario, the answer is simple - Dubsmash.

It is an established fact that we Indians love Bollywood and will profess our love with Bollywood references anywhere and everywhere, from the back of a rickshaw to a a big-fat wedding to Dubsmash videos. (Warning: Spoilers ahead)

Daenerys Targareyn meets Hum Aapke Hain Kaun

In the latest episode we saw Drogon the dragon become a hero, swooping down from the skies at the last minute to save Daenerys Targareyn when she was cornered by her enemies. Does that remind you of any Bollywood hero that swooped down from the ceiling to sing and dance with the heroine? *cough cough*

Bonus: In the same scene, what could Dany be thinking when Drogon made his grant entrance? Something along the lines of this song maybe.

Jorah-Khaleesi as Aishwarya-Salman in Hum Dil Chuke Sanam

Keeping up with the Salman analogy, the same episode saw Jorah Mormont battle in the fighting pits all the while making lovelorn eyes at his Khaleesi who had banished him. Judging from his history with her, Tadap tadap ke is dil se from Hum Dil Chuke Sanam is his theme songone could say!

Arya Stark as Nana Patekar

This season we have Arya Stark selling oysters, clams and cockles on Braavos streets with an intention to kill. Compare that to Nana Patekar, who always looks like he wants to kill, selling 'aalo-kanda' on Mumbai streets and we have this 'killer' video made by HBTV on our hands.

Tyrion Lannister as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte
Paresh Rawal's iconic role as Baburao in Hera Pheri is possibly the funniest characterization we have seen. But it has the potential to become even funnier when superimposed with Peter Dinklage's iconic Joffery-slap in the first season of Game of Thrones.

Viper vs Mountain as a Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus

If Game of Thrones was made in India, many have have said that it would be akin to a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film minus the song-and-dance thanks to the elaborate plot and setting. To imagine how exhilarating it would be if we could have some SLB-style naach-gaana in Game of Thrones just look at this awesome video by Comedy group AIB with Red Viper Oberyn Martell doing a Salman with Dholi Taaro Dhol baaje!"

White Walkers as Shah Rukh Khan

After so much of Salman Khan in Game of Thrones, could Shah Rukh Khan be far behind? The mind-boggling White Walker shot at the end of Episode 8 showing the Night King raise his arms while Jon stares at him. This scene spawned so many comparisons to quintessential lover-boy Rahul scenes, one would be spoilt for choice. Here are the two best SRK-White Walker mashups we have seen online, from DDLJ to Mohabbatein!

My first Game of Thrones and DDLJ dubsmash. Insane views, likes and shares.

The overemphasis on an elite festival that frankly, to the majority of India means nothing, is evidence that the Hindi film industry needs to re-discover the soul that has of late become missing. Chances are you won’t find it on the French Riviera.
