Freida Pinto’s edgy fashion sense made an impact on all things haute and couture at the posthumous celebration of Alexander McQueen’s work at the Met Gala in New York. Aptly called Savage Beauty, the gala saw the actress walk the red carpet in Chanel couture alongside the who’s who of the fashion world. She hasn’t been able to up her game since, despite releases like Julian Schnabel’s Miral and Woody Allen’s You will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger. Science fiction film, _Rise of the Planet of the Ape_s, the prequel to the Planet of the Apes (1968), sees Pinto paired with James Franco (of the disastrous Oscar compere fame) in 2011. She portrays the role of Caroline, a primatologist. She will also be seen playing an oracle priestess Phaedra in the fantasy-action-drama film, Immortals, starring Mickey Rourke and directed by Tarsem Singh that also releases this year. There is immense curiosity amongst audiences as Pinto has done a daring lovemaking scene in the film.
