Documentary based on Amy Winehouse will release in India on July 10

London: Amy, the 90-minute British documentary based on late English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse is scheduled to release in India on July 10. The biopic, directed by BAFTA Award winner Asif Kapadia, is an eye-opener, which features previously unseen archive footage that seeks to tell the tragic story of Winehouse. She was 27. A five-time Grammy Award winner, Winehouse was known for her deep vocals and eclectic mix of musical genres, including soul, rhythm and blues, jazz and reggae. Releasing under the PVR Director’s Rare banner in the country, Amy will be distributed by PVR Pictures. IANS
