 "#BangBangDare: Watch Ranveer, Farhan, SRK accept Hrithik's challenge")
Hrithik Roshan has been challenging his co-stars and celebrity friends to take up the “Bang Bang Dare”. Possibly inspired by the ALS challenge, Roshan has been going around daring his friends in Bollywood to do certain things. Almost everyone he’s dared has obliged him, which has meant the words “Bang Bang” have been floating around the chittering world of Twitter for the past few days. So far, Roshan has dared Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and a few others. Each of them get a customised dare. While some have already accepted the challenge, the Bang Bang actor is busy enlisting more people for his hashtag. Apparently, the Bang Bang dares for Shraddha Kapoor (whose Haider releases on the same day as Bang Bang) and Katrina Kaif are on their way. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor, who was clearly feeling a bit left, has asked Roshan to think of a dare for him too. [caption id=“attachment_1731583” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

Singh upped the ante by dressing up in Roshan’s Krrish avatar and prancing about on Mumbai’s Linking Road, dancing to one of Lakshya’s popular songs, “Main Aisa Kyu Hoon”. The video has already gone viral and while we’re happy for Roshan and Singh, we’re wondering why no one on the streets reacted to the fact that Singh, a popular Bollywood actor, was in their midst. There’s not a single hormonal squeal to be heard and barely any ogling. Could it be that after his much-publicised, low-waisted dhoti look from Goliyon ki Raasleela — Ram-leela, Singh’s fans can’t recognise him when he has all his clothes on? Or is the lack of reaction an indication of how little Mumbai actually cares about Bollywood? Anyhow, here’s Singh trying to bust some Hrithik Roshan’s famous moves:
Another actor who accepted Roshan’s challenge was Farhan Akhtar. Akhtar wore a sky diving suit, as instructed by Roshan, and went biking around Bandra, which has never looked quite as empty as it does in that video. He engages in a few friendly conversations with strangers and at the end, blows a kiss to Roshan, whom Akhtar describes as his “mental boy”. Take a look at the video here:
One of the more fun responses came from Priyanka Chopra, whom Roshan dared to do a handstand, followed by three push ups, while wearing heels. Chopra did the dare without batting an eyelid. Watch Chopra do her most stylish handstand here . Last but not the least, Shah Rukh Khan also accepted the challenge. Sort of. Roshan tweeted to Khan, asking him to do his favourite abs routine. Khan responded with a video of him exercising during the Happy New Year shoot. While he did deign to mention Bang Bang at the end of the video, Khan totally turned the tables on Roshan. Instead of helping Roshan promote Bang Bang, Khan basically just pushed his own film (which is due for a Diwali release). Watch the video here:

If our ears and noses are any indication, the general public is clearly not quite as ready to click their heels and do Roshan’s bidding as Roshan’s friends and colleagues in Bollywood.
