Los Angeles: Singer Taylor Swift has patented lyrics from her latest album ‘1989’, prohibiting others from using them on various items including T-shirts and printed publications without her consent. Reuters[/caption] Swift, 25, has trademarked ‘This Sick Beat’ from her single ‘Shake It Off’ and also phrases like ‘Cause We Never Go Out of Style’, ‘Party Like It’s 1989’, ‘Nice to Meet You’ Where You Been?’ and ‘Could Show You Incredible Things’, from ‘1989’, reported Aceshowbiz. People cannot use these lines on everything from T-shirts, mugs, removable tattoos, stickers and stationary to ‘paper products, printed products and printed publications’. The news came just a day after Swift’s social media accounts were hacked. The hackers sent several posts convincing the singer’s 51 million Twitter followers to follow other Twitter users. Swift then responded to the hack on Tumblr. “Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment,” she wrote. PTI
