'Baar Baar Dekho is not about time travel': Sidharth Malhotra

Mumbai: Actor Sidharth Malhotra says his character in the upcoming film Baar Baar Dekho ages from 18 to 60, but it is not a time travel or a science fiction story. Talking about the film, Sidharth said: “It’s a very unique story… What happens in the life of a person from the ages of 18 to 60. It’s not a time travel or science fiction, it’s a fictitious story. I have been given prosthetics to play a 60-year-old character in the film.” [caption id=“attachment_2665246” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![sidharth-malhotra_380_AFP](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/sidharth-malhotra_380_AFP.jpg) In his new film, Sidharth’s character ages from the years of 16 to 60. It’s an adapted screenplay, it’s a love story with a twist, where the universe gives you an option to do something different,” Sidharth added. Directed by Nitya Mehra, Baar Baar Dekho features Sidharth opposite Katrina Kaif. The film is slated for release on September 9. Meanwhile, Sidharth is also busy promoting his film Kapoor & Sons. The actor who hails from Delhi and from a typical Punjabi family says the film was very relatable to him. He said: “I have an elder brother in real life and we lived in a joint family in Delhi. I just came back from Delhi after attending my sister’s wedding and what I realised was what we see in films (is how things actually are)… So, the film is very relatable.” Directed by Shakun Batra, Kapoor & Sons also features Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rajat Kapoor, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt apart from Sidharth. It will hit the screens on March 18. IANS
