So if you thought Avengers Assemble was pretty apocalyptic with aliens trying to take over the world and New York getting wrecked, Avengers: Age of Ultron seems to take it one level higher.
The new teaser features the ominous voice of James Spader as Ultron, the villainous super-intelligent robot that seems to be the creation of Tony Stark aka Iron Man in an experiment gone horribly wrong.
The robot has mutant siblings Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elisabeth Olsen of Godzilla fame respectively) in tow and the team seems to be quite the match up for the superhero ensemble.
The teaser indicates little apart from the fact that Ultron is quite the super villain, Russia seems to be where it is set, Captain America gets his shield broken and Hulk and Iron Man get into a punch up of epic proportions. And yes, there are lots of explosions.
The first trailer is invariably the most ominous one and Avengers: Age of Ultron reveals little apart from snippets of its super villain. The next trailer is likely to get a little bit cheerier to ensure the family audiences don’t avoid this one but for now here’s the new teaser:
