Anees Bazmee is reportedly keen to cast Patralekha in 'Aankhen' sequel

Director Anees Bazmee is reportedly getting ready for the sequel of 2002 hit Aankhen. The original was a heist thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal, and it was directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, of Namaste London fame. However, this installment of the film might not be made with the same cast. Bazmee iw tight-lipped about the cast of the film, but speculations are rife on how he is keen to work with Patralekha. I have written four films, two big and two small, and so far I haven’t signed her for any of them as yet. I will be able to tell you once I lock the cast,” said Bazmee. On asking him whether the sequel will also be a thriller, like the original, he maintained, “It would be too early to talk about the plot as I am still writing the script.” Meanwhile, the producer of his last film Welcome Back  still owes him remuneration and crew payment of almost Rs 2 crore. Bazmee reveals that he is yet to get his due. “I haven’t received the payment as yet,” he said.
