A new photo of Sushant Singh Rajput playing MS Dhoni in the cricketer’s upcoming biopic M.S Dhoni - The Untold Story was unveiled by Dhoni’s fan club on Twitter today. In the photograph, we see Rajput in all white uniform and a blue cap. Like Dhoni, the actor sports long hair and a stubble. Couple of months ago, the first look of the biopic was unveiled by Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni on Twitter and it showed Sushant Singh Rajput wearing the famous Dhoni jersey with his lucky number — seven — written on it. There were also reports that Dhoni has charged an exuberant amount of money to give a nod to this film that has been directed by Neeraj Pandey, who also made A Wednesday and Special 26. While several sports based biopics have already been made including the critically acclaimed Pan Singh Tomar, there are quite a few in the pipeline. Media reports claim that several biopics are being contemplated on the life of India’s greatest hockey player, Dhyan Chand. In fact, reports claim that Shah Rukh Khan is likely to portray Dhyan Chand’s character in one such film. Also, reportedly track-and-field athlete PT Usha’s husband has also been approached with an offer of a biopic on Usha. The film is likely to show her journey from becoming the first Indian woman to reach the final of an Olympic event to being the woman who has earned maximum number of gold medals in a single track meet at the 1985 Asian Track and Field Meet.
