Editor’s note: This is a reader comment we got on the article, “ Lack of transparency the cause of your woes, Rahul tells industry ”. As is Firstpost policy, we have lightly edited for grammar and spelling, but the comment has been left as is. By Rohan I am wondering why it took so long for Rahul Gandhi to find out this diagnosis that in India the root of the problem lies in lack of transparency and accountability ? The problem in this country is not lack of laws, but only lack of implementation. Laws are never taken forward to their logical conclusion and justice is being subverted and obliterated at will by the powers that be, to serve nefarious interests. Why did Rahul Gandhi glossed over the illegal nexus between corporates and politicians where even ministerial lobbying is driven by corporates as brought out by Niira Radia tapes? PTI[/caption] The degeneration of politics in this country is too grave and the morality has sunk to lowest depths beyond redemption. Society lacks ethics and in the name of democracy, India is an functioning Kleptocracy. I do not know how we are going to salvage this situation and redeem ourselves? But mere plain rhetoric always cease to reform. What is required is well laid out plan of action to put principles to practice.
