All that is needed is for Australia, South Africa, England, New Zealand and West Indies to come together and start opposing the BCCI.

Editors note: This is a reader comment we got on the article, ‘Why selfish BCCI needs to see the bigger picture’. Tariq Engineer has opposed the BCCI asking for a bigger share of revenue from the ICC, reasoning that they deserve it because they make most of the money for them in the first place. As is Firstpost policy, we have lightly edited for grammar and spelling, but the comment has been left as is. By Sujith I wish the other cricket boards show some spine and guts and chuck out India from ICC. This will result in some sanity returning to international cricket. Before some mad Indian cricket fanatic jumps in here to abuse me I would request him to pause for a minute and ponder about what I have said. If all other nations get together (very unlikely) then it’s India that will be left holding the can. [caption id=“attachment_1268603” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Representational Image. Getty Images[/caption] Other nations will be playing among themselves and their financial situation wouldn’t be any better than what it is now but Indian cricket will have zero revenue from international tours. BCCI will have to organise cricket among itself like the challenger trophy but that will not bring in revenue. It’s because of lack of spine & guts exhibited by the other cricket playing nations BCCI is behaving too arrogantly. All that is needed is for Australia, South Africa, England, New Zealand and West Indies to come together and start opposing the BCCI.
