Have you ever wondered how we the ‘AAM AADMI’ see this? Well I personally see it as a complete non-sense. I have my reasons to belive it too.

An open letter to Arvind Kejriwal from a former AAP supporter

Editor’s note: This is a reader comment we received on the article ‘ AAP will die like a meteorite if it doesn’t curb its anarchy: Guha. ’ The comment has been edited for grammar. Dear Mr.Kejriwal, Today you are the Chief Minister of a state and the state happens to be my nation’s capital too. It is very foolish of you to start dharna at every issue you believe needs to be solved. You have decided that you want to live in a democracy and a democracy provides every individual the freedom to decide after deliberations. The Home Minister said a no so you decided to start a Dharna. [caption id=“attachment_1339221” align=“alignright” width=“380”] Arvind Kejriwal. AFP Arvind Kejriwal. AFP[/caption] Have you ever wondered how we the ‘AAM AADMI’ see this? Well I personally see it as a complete non-sense. I have my reasons to belive it too. I did not decide I will vote for you because your party will change the way this country is in one day. We know that when we elect you, changes have to be made one step at a time and this will take a few months and in some cases, years. We are not foolish enough to think you will change things in an hour. I did not decide my vote is for AAP because at the throw of a stick you will sit on a Dharna for reasons that has to be sorted by other means. I did not decide my vote is for AAP because I believe your ministers will come in flying and sort problems overnight and leave a broom on our door that says “Your friendly neigbhour AAPie”. I did not decide my vote is for AAP because I want to fight for every issue by blocking traffic and causing disruption to work. My vote for you was because I thought you will be a sensible politician who will do things for the people since you were elected for the people by the people. My vote for you was because as a decision maker you will sort the good from the bad and make policy changes and not disrupt the very core of my country by sitting on strikes. My vote for you was because finally I thought I saw an alternative to the age old parties that have far reached their expiry dates. And yet you flattered to decieve. Today you are sitting on a Dharna asking 3 policement to be suspended. No Mr. Kejriwal this is not what was expected from you. You were a part of the system and you very well knew the Delhi Police was not a state force to dance to the whims and fancies of your Ministers and by extension yours. No matter how vehemently You, Mr.Yadav, Mr.Sisodia all justify what Mr.Bharati did as the law minister it was non sensical. We are here to support you stand by you and see you provide a good governence model rather than these Prakash Jha type reel life scripts being enacted. You might have done a lot of things that you have promised and yet you are doing a lot of things you did not promise and it seems you are flirting a thin line between the love and hate people have for you. You have been an IRS officer yourself and you know if a system has to change it has to happen at its own pace, but you seem to be hell bent on systematically disrupting everything that this country has built and let me warn you that you are setting a very wrong precedent for the generations to come. There are youths watching you and kids who would want to emulate you. Do not start on a path with the love for your country and end up at a place where most dictators have ended. As an educated man please do some self reflection. You will find most great dictators started with the love for their country and love from the people. They ended up being the greatest Tyrants. The last nail on the coffin for my Love towards your party ended when I watched an interview by you on Saturday and you said “Who wants to be in power? We have not formed the government to be in power, if congress pulls the plug we are more than happy to let go of power.” Do you as an Aam Aadmi even realize the cost that goes into every single election. Do you know every month so much percentage of my CTC and many like me go as tax to the government to conduct elections and plan your subsidies and budgets. The least you can do is make us look like fools by making such statements. Please see that history does not remember you as a person who was trusted with responsibility by the people and were thrown out by the very same. You said your party was “Shiv ji Ki Baraat” any one can come. Well your party should exactly not become that. A one for every Tom. Dick and Harry and their whims and fancies about a country. With Respect, AAP supporter till yesterday.
