Editors note: This is a reader comment we got on the article, “The CBI investigation into the Aarushi case was flawed” published earlier today. Impartial Indian has written a thought provoking piece about how it is the CBI’s fault for not securing the crime scene minutes after the Aarushi investigation and how crucial that could be for pointing out the criminal. As is Firstpost policy, we have lightly edited for grammar and spelling, but the comment has been left as is. by Impartial Indian Important phase of any crime investigation and evidence collection in such murder cases is the first few hours by the Technical staff/Medical examiners, forensic evidence collection, photography, videographing, smears and swabs, DNA sample collection from everybody in and around the place of incident to match or eliminate at a later stage. Aarushi Hemraj murder case. [/caption] In this case the evidence up to 90 percent was destroyed before the CBI took over, as evident from the statement of officials on the date of take over by CBI took up the case after request from the Talwars. They tried to follow up the matter despite CBI’s closure report because they wanted a clean chit from CBI which was not there and they were afraid whether the matter will be raised again by the Lawyers of the other Victim. Unfortunately the attempt failed, and the Talwar family is in the media with entire family force supported by media.
