AAP successful in Delhi, but can they play big role in national politics?

While one must not under estimate or ridicule what the AAP has achieved in the Delhi elections, I feel that the Party is still very immature and very inexperienced to play any significant role in the national politics (if they survive that is).

Right now the AAP has fully exploited the anger of the people in Delhi (and it is true in many many cities across India) against rampant corruption, hatred for the politician as we now perceive them to be, inefficiency and total lack of any form of governance affecting the daily common problems that people face (lack of basic civil amenities, public health etc).

According to me the reason for their success in Delhi is, because Delhi is nothing but a glorified Municipality/Corporation AAP has been able to convince the people of Delhi that they are an alternative to address their local problems.

Much of the administration is still in the hand of the Central Government. Therefore, the Dehilites prefer AAP for Delhi and the main National Opposition Party for the the Centre. Right now, AAP should take the logical step of replicating their model in other local elections in other cities across India.

They should look at contesting the national elections only in 2019 if they survive till then. They have not yet demonstrated how good they are governing (they are damn good at criticizing we know that now).People would like to see how well they are executing their plans and promises. They have no infrastructure nor the funding.

Also, to play a significant role in national politics, the people of India would like to know in great detail what their plans on economy, internal and external security, their foreign policy ( not just a statement saying we want friendly relations with all countries), on Kashmir, on China, Africa etc).

What are the plans on taxes, world trade. We need to know the fine print and not general statements. What is their vision for India for the next 50 years ( I wont be there for sure)? And lastly, they must remember that age old saying-Real Politics is the Art of the Possible.
