With the National Capital set to go to polls on 8 February (Saturday) and the results slated to be out on 11 (Tuesday), independent pollsters and news agencies are scrambling to ready prediction statistics for the Delhi Assembly Election 2020. The various media outlets, often in conjunction with statisticians and psephologists, conduct surveys among citizens after they have cast their votes to project possible outcomes of election before actual results are declared by the Election Commission of India. Dubbed the Exit Poll Results, these results are, however, embargoed by the Election Commission till the final vote is cast so that these predictions do not influence voter behaviour in any way. However, it should be noted that the exit poll predictions are not always accurate and are only indicative of a generic trend. There are around 1.4 crore eligible voters in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party is the incumbent party in the state.
