Bigg Boss 10 Weekend Ka Vaar, 19th November 2016: Karan Mehra is eliminated; Rohan breaks down
Double eliminations loomed over the contestants of Bigg Boss 10 on Colors TV, as host Salman Khan confronted them in Weekend Ka Vaar
Salman Khan is back with yet another Weekend Ka Vaar on Colors TV's Bigg Boss 10. Actually, this is a Weekend Ka Double Vaar, as there will be double the evictions this week.
The host breaks the shocking news of the season to the audience but keeps it a secret from the contestants.
After a week of tough tasks and endless fights, the weekend episode kicks off on a serious note with Salman giving lessons on morality to the contestants. The episode opens with Salman showing a video of Swami Om: in it, the self-proclaimed godman is seen requesting the superstar not to cause him further distress by exposing his reality to his fellow contestants. “Last week you exposed me in front of the contestants and I had a very bad time as I was harassed and troubled in the house. And as a result, I was not able to entertain the audience. I’m a bank of entertainment and let me do my job or else I will fall sick,” he's heard saying.
Not sure whether or not he will be able to save Swami Om this time, Salman points out how he created a storm inside the Bigg Boss house, and how he intentionally let the opposition (that is Rohan’s team) win in the ‘Lock Out’ task, while being in the other team (which was led by Mona Lisa). Salman had an open discussion about the issue and Om Swami clearly states that since he had problems with Manu and Manveer, he deliberately didn’t cooperate with his own team. “This means you wanted to teach them a lesson because you clearly told Bani that you were ready to cooperate for the task for her team but will not cooperate with your own team,” says Salman to Swami Om, and he accepted the same. The drama increases as the contestants are asked to choose the Khalnayak of the week, where Swami Om and Manveer give each other a tough fight.
Visibly upset about Swami Om’s comment on Mona and other girls in the house, Salman explains to him that he has no right to voice opinions about anyone's character. Putting the spotlight on the male contestants, Salman also mentions that he was shocked as well as disappointed in them as they did not stand up for Mona when Swami Om was hurling lewd comments at her. Mona says that she expected at least Rahul Dev to stand up for her but he gives his own reason for not doing so. Guilty, the contestants apologise for not being supportive enough. However, Salman appreciates Lopamudra for always taking a stand for what’s right.
“How dare you ask the viewers to not vote for Mona just because she is best friends with Manoj Punjabi and Manveer Gurjar! How dare you question Nitibha Kaul’s character just because she wears short clothes! You can tell a person’s character by their words and how they behave with people. It has got absolutely nothing to do with their choice of clothes or their modern approach in life. And if their family is not objecting to it, who are you to object?” Salman reprimands Swami Om. Swami Om quickly portrays himself as a victim of circumstances and starts sobbing while putting across his point. But Salman turns a deaf ear to his clarifications and gets straight to the point. He rebukes Swami.
Up next, Salman moves towards addressing the issues pertaining to the 'Man of the hour': Rohan Mehra and his not-so-fair decision-making abilities as the new captain of the house. Salman questions Rohan while calling him selfish, questioning his changing of beds after taking over the captaincy, and further putting Manu and Manveer in jail. About this, Manveer jokes saying that there should be three to four vice captains as Rohan wasn’t taking decisions on his but consulting Bani and his other team members. Salman further asks Manu and Manveer who would they put in jail if they were made captains, and both answer that they would balance it out by picking one member from each team. Nitibha and Swami Om had taken a joint decision of making Rohan the captain, and Nitibha accepts that she regretted taking that decision after Rohan’s performance as a captain.
Breaking the seriousness of the moment, will be Naagin actress Mouni Roy, who will enter the stage dancing to the tunes of her song 'Ki Kariye Nachna Aaonda Nahin' from the movie Tum Bin 2. From teaching Salman the very famous Naagin dance to making him the villain for a fun game, Mouni will entertain the audience in her hatke andaaz. Joining her on stage will be Anubhav Sinha, the director of Tum Bin 2.
And now it was time to announce the first eviction. And in a dramatic move, the first celebrity to get eliminated is television actor of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame – Karan Mehra. Everybody is shocked as it happens quite suddenly and Salman doesn’t take much time in announcing the name. Everybody, especially the other celebrities like Gaurav, Rahul, Lopa and Rohan are shocked, and Karan’s on-screen son Rohan, breaks down and is inconsolable. But more drama will unfold and there will be some more nail-biting moments tomorrow because yet one more contestant will be eliminated about which the contestants are not aware of. “Lokesh, Mona and Rahul are thinking that they are safe but they will get to know tomorrow,” says Salman as he ends the show with his usual punchline – “Do whatever you want to do....”
"Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of Sidharth's journey, and showered him with unconditional love. It definitely doesn't end here as he now resides in our hearts forever," a statement from Sidharth Shukla's family read.
The court also directed the makers to immediately take down/ block/ disable access to the game from Google Play Store and all other platforms.
