Bigg Boss 10, Episode 39, 24th November 2016 written update: Manu and Lopa fail in their secret task
Here's the lowdown on episode 39 of Bigg Boss 10 on Colors TV
Each day contestants learn a new lesson in the Bigg Boss house and relationships and friendships go through a gruelling test. Friends can turn foes or there can be misunderstandings. The pleasant relationship between Manu and Lopamudra, as of now, has taken a beating because both were unsuccessful in the secret task where they had to rob gold from captain Rohan’s vault, who was the gold mine owner. Their success could have changed the captaincy and one of them could have become the captain replacing Rohan. But it didn’t happen and both are seen blaming each other.
Here's the lowdown on episode 39 of Bigg Boss 10 on Colors TV, as it unfolded:
After making several attempts to rob Rohan’s gold, Lopamudra finds herself getting caught every time. After disturbing Rohan in his sleep, Lopa goes and sits with him and tries to sweet talk him. Rohan shields his vault which has been tied with a rope.
Lopa finally gives up and she then goes on to apologise to Bigg Boss and complains that Manu did not participate in the task actively even as it was supposed to be teamwork. “I couldn’t do the robbery single-handedly... Manu didn’t come to help,” she justifies. However, Manu reasons that it would have looked absurd if he’d gone to help her because both, Lopa and Rohan were dealing with each other in a friendly and playful manner. Having protected his gold throughout the night, Rohan and the housemates wake up to 'Chandi Ki Daal Par.' Discussing the failed robbery attempt, Lopa tells Manveer that she might have been successful if Manu had helped. Lopa also tells Rahul and other contestants that stealing something wasn’t possible for her.
While making breakfast, Bani taunts Mona asking her to keep the utensils clean. Mona gets annoyed with Bani for repeatedly talking about the same thing. Justifying herself, Bani tells Mona to not take it personally because she only hopes for a little cleanliness in the kitchen. When Bani complains about this to Rohan, Lopa taunts her by asking her to practice what she preaches. Irritated by this, Bani asks her to not talk about her behind her back. As Bani walks away, Lopa gets into a brawl with Rohan saying that he is not strict with Bani when it comes to housework. Rohan, in turn, reminds her that she cannot dictate what he should or should not do. And like a daily routine, the contestants get into an argument with Om Swami (this time, over the latter's lethargy). Om also tells Bani she should not abuse the housemates. Gaurav tries to calm down Bani as the argument spirals.
When Om Swami complains to other housemates about Bani, for a change, the contestants back Bani. OIn the heated argument, Om accuses Rahul Dev of stealing the gold that was dug out in the task. Rahul lashes back and threatens to hit Om. Turns out, Om found a chunk of gold in the bedroom and instead of returning it, kept it for himself. Wonder what he was thinking? That he found real gold? After the showdown, Om goes to Rahul and tries to tell him that his actions were misunderstood, and apologises. Outside, Om tells Mona Lisa and Manveer that he never apologises to anyone and so he did not say “sorry” to Rahul.
Announcing the end of the BB Gold Mine task, Bigg Boss also reveals the secret task given to Lopa and Manu. “Forget about being successful in the task, Lopa and Manu failed miserably because they couldn’t keep the task secret,” says Bigg Boss, which is so true. Lopa was heard talking to Manu about their secret task in front of Manveer and even Manu was telling Om Swami about it. Rohan’s performance becomes a topic of discussion and his efforts are lauded by Bigg Boss, making him the captain for the second week. Upset with Lopa for having shared details of the secret task with the other contestants, Manu goes on a rant and tells almost every contestant that Lopa didn’t read out the instructions of the task properly and he wasn’t aware that the task had to be secretive. But Lopa insists that she’d clearly told this to him in the very beginning.
As the day comes to a dramatic close, Bani’s emotions take over as she struggles with being grossly misunderstood by her fellow contestants. She covers herself with a blanket and sobs while looking at some photographs in her suitcase. She refuses to join Gaurav for dinner and Rahul calls her “touchy and egoistic”. And tomorrow is yet another day when Rohan will rule as the captain and will punish certain contestants. There will be yet another round of showdown between Rohan and Om Swami, who will be heard saying that he made Rohan the captain and now he was punishing him.
