Yamaha YZF R15 v3.0 revealed, could be launched soon in India

Yamaha brought the R15 to India and it became an instant hit when it was launched in 2011. It did receive a couple of facelifts over the past few years and now the next generation of the bike has been released. The bike has made its global debut in the Indonesian market and was unveiled by Yamaha MotoGP riders, Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales. It features a new 155.1cc single cylinder, liquid cooled fuel injected VVA engine which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox which is capable of producing close to 20PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm. Sounds, great but this comes at a bigger cost as the fuel storage on the R15 is just 11 litres of petrol. Prominent features include new LED headlamps, a brand new digital instrumentation, upside down forks up front and hazard lamp. It is said to take its design inspiration from the R6. In terms of dimensions, the Yamaha R15 v3.0 measures 1,990 mm in length, 725 mm in width and 1,135 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,325 mm. It will be available in three colour options including Racing Blue, Matte Black and Matte Red. No launch date for India is confirmed, but we can expect the new R15 to arrive later this year.
