Just today we reported that Triumph will be launching the recently announced Bonneville T100 in India on the 18th of October. Now we are hearing that the bike maker is planning to announce yet another model in the Bonneville series.
According to Overdrive, the Triumph Bonneville Bobber will be officially unveiled on 19 October in London. However the first public appearance is expected to be at the EICMA, which is happening next month in Milan, Italy. It will join the existing Bonneville range which includes the Thruxton, Thruxton R, T120, T120 Black, T100, T100 Black and the Street Twin.
Expect the new Triumph Bonneville Bobber to use the same engine options that are available on the current Bonneville range; the 900cc parallel-twin motor and the powerful 1,200cc motor. According to Overdrive, some test units have been spotted which feature a larger engine, reportedly it is the 1,200cc motor which should comply the Euro-IV emission norms. It is not confirmed so until the official unveiling is done, we can’t say much.
Some spied images reveal a classic retro-style design with single disc brake however there could be a high-end variant with a twin-disc set-up. Other visible details include the monoshock under the seat and bar-end mirrors. We can’t say an official date for the Indian launch, but it should be by early next year.
