Telangana state to implement BS IV norms from April 1, 2016

In a bid to reduce vehicle related pollution, the Telangana state has taken a decision to implement BS IV norms from April 1, 2016. As per the decision, all new vehicles manufactured in 2016 should have a BS IV compliant engine. After April 1, no new vehicle with BS III engine will be registered by local RTOs across the state. Only the registration of old vehicles with BS III engines manufactured before August 2015 will be accepted during resale.
