Tata Nexon, the upcoming compact SUV by Tata Motors was spotted during testing in Pune. The SUV has been spotted a number of times across the country undergoing some serious testing. The company wants to thoroughly test the SUV in all terrains before launching the product in the market. The images hint at the Nexon with a Berry-Red finish as reported by crankit. The SUV is seen camouflaged from outside to hide the details of design and stop people from taking photographs or recognising the yet-to-release vehicle. Nexon is built on heavily modified Tata X1 platform from Indica and features a new impact design from the company. It is likely that Nexon will feature a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine along with a six-speed AMT box in transmission as reported by RushLane. There have been reports that Nexon will be delayed in the market as the company will launch Tata Hexa and Tata Kite5 before the launch of Nexon. The front of the SUV is equipped with LED tail lights, projector headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels and ceramic side finisher as reported by Drive Spark. The compact SUV is expected to launch sometime next year with a price range which is competing with Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300 and Ford EcoSport.
