With demonetisation affecting the common man as well as businesses, many companies are offering cashless payment methods to consumers. The newest company to join the bandwagon is Suzuki’s two wheeler division. The company has announced that it will be offering cashless payment methods on all of its products. Partnering with HDFC and Paytm, the two-wheeler maker is allowing customers to buy their products without having to pay through cash. Customers can now book a two wheeler by paying up to Rs 20,000 via Paytm and the rest of the amount can be financed. As an add on, Paytm is offering a cashback of Rs 3,000 to customers once the vehicle is delivered. On the other hand, HDFC has announced that Government employees as well as HDFC account holders can get 100 percent finance when buying a Suzuki two wheeler. The offer also extends to customers who don’t have an account with HDFC but have an income proof. The bank will offer a payment scheme with 90 percent finance. Satoshi Uchida, managing director, SMIPL (Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd) said, “We aim to limit the impact of demonetisation by providing our customers a convenient purchase alternative that is not dependent on availability of cash in hand. We will continue to stand with our patrons and ensure a delightful customer experience every time they visit our outlets.”
