The McLaren 650S has seen a good run since it was announced back in February 2015. Based on the McLaren MP4-12C along with some new bits, the car was a hit with its carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer chassis and a 3.8 litre V8 twin-turbo engine. But like with all good things, production has to come to an end and the last model we saw coming out of McLaren was the 675LT (Long Tail) which debuted at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Well two years later there’s now a successor and it will be called the McLaren P14. The prototype was spied in Spain by Spiedbilde and reported by Road and Track. According to Car and Driver, the McLaren P14 will be a junior P1. While the body borrow bits from it two siblings, exhaust and the rear show better similarities with the 650S. McLaren is also expected to use the carbon-fiber monocoque tub and a host of new technologies that should help the P14 to compete with the likes of newer generation Ferrari 488 GTB.
