Skoda Rapid facelift bookings start in India
To be launched on November 3 and gets updated 1.5-litre diesel motor from Ameo
Skoda is gearing up to launch the Rapid facelift in India on November 3, 2016. This has been confirmed to us by official dealers across the country. While Skoda has declined to make official comments on the same, the new Rapid has been recently spotted without any camouflage. Skoda dealerships have already started taking bookings with a token amount of Rs 25,000.
Skoda and Volkswagen will develop new entry-level models based on the MQB A0 platform for India, Russia, Africa as well as the ASEAN countries and Latin America.
Both manual and automatic versions of the Skoda Rapid can be had with the new carbon steel matte paint job; only the second car in India to sport matte paint from the factory.
Set to be the third model based on the Volkswagen Group’s India-specific MQB A0 IN platform, the Skoda Slavia will take on the likes of the Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
