Skoda Kodiaq UK price tags and trims revealed; starts from £21,495

While the world waits for Skoda to roll out its brand new full-size SUV, the Czech automobile manufacturer has announced the same for the UK market. Yes those secretive price tags and trim levels for the Skoda Kodiaq are finally out! Autocar has reported that Skoda’s first full-size SUV would be available in four trims. The standard S model, an SE, an SE-L and lastly the Edition trim.  Starting with the base S trim at £21,495 (approximately Rs 17,54,808) , we get a 123bhp 1.4-litre TSI engine. The same S trim would include all the standard equipment including the 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system and a DAB radio.   Next up, there is the SE trim that will get you cruise control and rear parking sensors for an asking price of £22,945 (approximately Rs 18,73,183). The SE-L variant is expected to be the best value for money offering that get a you a 2.0-litre TDI engine producing 148bhp and features a manual transmission.   Higher up we have the Edition trim that will be available with two engine and performance options. The lower priced one of the lot is priced at £30,695 (approximately Rs 25,05,877) and gets you a 148bhp 1.4-litre TSI engine and DSG gearbox. Want more power? Well at £34,895 (approximately Rs 28,48,757) you can get a performance upgraded version with a 2.0-litre engine developing 187bhp.  As for the seats, the SE-L and the Edition trims get the seven seats as standard. Those looking for seven seats in the other SE trim will have pay up an additional £1000. The standard S trim model will only be available with five seats. Indeed the price tags will not be identical to the India ones, but one can at least get a ballpark figure as the models headed to India could see similar trims.
