If you love super cars, then you are probably aware of Ferrari’s limited production hybrid sports car the LaFerrari. It was officially unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show and is based on the Ferrari FXX and research being conducted by the Millechili Project at the University of Modena. While only 499 units have been built, each cost more than 1 million US dollars. One of them was a custom satin black 2014 LaFerrari which sold for a groundbreaking $4.7 million. This is said to be a record price for the hybrid hypercar. It definitely makes it stand out from usual shades of red. Even the wheels get a gloss black finish along with red brake calipers. The estimate pre-auction price came down to $3.9 million but the final bid came close to $4.5 million, this insane auction price is a clear indication that the LaFerrari is in high demand.
