The new Range Rover Evoque is officially here in India as Land Rover announced the 2017 version of the SUV on Tuesday, 20 December. The prices for the new SUV start at Rs 49.10 lakh going all the way up to Rs 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The most prominent change is the new Ingenium Diesel engine, making it the first Land Rover SUV in the country to be powered by the new motor. Currently only the Jaguar F-Pace comes with the engines from the Ingenium family. Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), commented on the launch “Range Rover Evoque has gained immense popularity and success since its launch in the Indian market and today we are excited to introduce the 2017 Model Year New Range Rover Evoque to our customers. The fabulous design, coupled with class-leading technology and luxury features make the New Range Rover Evoque an unbeatable choice.”  The 2.0-litre diesel engine, which the company claims has been designed for performance generates 177bhp and develops 430Nm of peak torque paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel-drive system. Maintaining the distinctive and bold styling the SUV comes with full LED headlights with signature daytime running lights. The cabin of the Evoque adheres to the Range Rover DNA and offers premium materials such as Oxford leather, twin-needle stitching and deeply padded door inserts. Oxford leather seats come as standard on HSE and HSE Dynamic models. It gets the new InControl Touch Pro Infotainment system, Surround Camera System, 825 W Meridian Surround Sound System, 25.4 cm High Resolution Touch Screen, Head-Up Display, InControl Apps and Powered Gesture Tailgate.
