An autonomous car isn’t science fiction anymore. Tesla has already launched semi-autonomous cars with mixed success. Uber has recently unveiled its first self-driving fleet (part of its self-driving pilot programme). And Google’s latest self-driving car project monthly report claims that its cars now “can often mimic social behaviours and communicate our [drivers’] intentions to other drivers, while reading many cues that tell us if we're able to pass, cut in or merge".
