Japanese car maker Nissan will set up an assembly shop in Myanmar this year in partnership with Tan Chong Motor Group. Nissan will also setup a manufacturing facility to benefit from the growing economy in the Southeast Asian region.
In the first phase, Nissan will assemble the Sunny at the existing plant followed by a complete transfer of production capacity to the new plant. The new plant will have a manpower of 300 with a production capacity of 10,000 units.
