In fact, it was just a week ago when Hyundai Motors India commented that it was planning to bring in 4 SUVs in the coming year to keep up with the competition in the fast-growing segment. According to sources close to the manufacturer, Hyundai will be bringing the all-new Tucson to India by October end. The new Tucson will comfortably fill in the gap between the two, with the Santa Fe at the higher end and Creta at the lower end. According to Z_igwheels_, the engine that powers the new Tucson will come from the Elantra sedan itself which produces 152PS of power and 192Nm of torque. For the transmission, owners will have the option of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is expected to be tweaked while the mated gearbox will also feature revised gear ratios that should match the requirements of an SUV.
